My story

[p]On the 29th September 2019 i am running the Berlin Marathon! This will be my 4th marathon and coming fast off the back of the Paris marathon in April 2019. I ran a PB at Paris and i want to try and better it at Berlin so i am planning on training hard and hopefully staying fit and healthy!!![/p][p][br][/p][p]I was looking for a charity to support and came across the Cameron Bespolka Trust. This small charity is local to me, being based Winchester and The New Forest, and offers opportunities for young people to get involved in nature and conservation which immediately appealed as a fantastic cause that i would like to support. Below is some more information about the work that the Cameron Bespolka Trust do. Please have a read and if you feel that you would like to donate, however small, it would be very much appreciated.[/p][p][br][/p][p]The Cameron Bespolka Trust is a charity that has been set up in Cameron's memory to inspire young people to love and appreciate animals, in particular birds, nature, and our environment. By experiencing the outdoors first hand, teenagers can connect with nature and make a difference to our planet.[/p][p][br][/p][p]How do we do this?[/p][p]By creating new opportunities and programmes that involve conservation work, data collecting, research as well as understanding the impact of climate change. This knowledge can help them throughout their lives both personally or professionally[/p][p]By organising and sponsoring events for teenagers to connect and appreciate the outdoors, especially those who may not have the means nor opportunity[/p][p]By working closely with various partners to reach as many teenagers as we can to add another dimension to their lives and well being[/p][p]One of our future goals is to partner with schools and educational institutions to offer nature projects and programmes that are not available to them[/p][p][br][/p][p]Many pieces of research have highlighted the positive impact of nature on physical and mental wellbeing.[/p][p]Now more than ever, kids and teens are widely disconnected from their natural outdoor environment and are spending more and more time indoors. We now know that nature is important to their development in every major way: socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and physically. We hope we can make a difference.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Please support us. Your donation makes a huge difference. All administrative costs are covered by the family. We appreciate every penny. Thank you. [/p][p][br][/p]
