My story

[p]In April 2019 I have the amazing opportunity of joining other Wooden spoon supporters to tackle Mount Everest and hopefully set two new Guinness world records whilst raising over £200,000 for this fantastic charity.[/p][p]The aim is to play the;[/p][p]Highest altitude game of full contact rugby (6,650m)- single gender sevens match[/p][p]• Highest altitude game of touch rugby at Advanced Base Camp around (6,340m)- mixed gender sevensmatch[/p][p]The Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. It funds life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland to support children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage.[/p][p]Their vision is that every child and young person, no matter what their background, has access to the same opportunities.[/p][p]They fund a range of projects including sensory rooms and gardens, playgrounds and outdoor activities, education projects, specialist equipment and facilities and health and wellbeing programmes.[/p][p][br][/p]
