[p]Thank you for visiting my page. This must mean you are thinking about sponsoring me! [/p][p]I will again be running the London Marathon on the 4th October 2020 to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust. This charity, which many of you will know of from the London Legal Walk (its biggest fundraising event), supports law centres and legal advice agencies in London and the South East. These agencies help the most vulnerable individuals and families combat discrimination and injustice. Your contribution will therefore help prevent homelessness, resolve debt problems, gain care for older and disabled people, help trafficked women and children and those who are victims of modern day slavery. This is a truly worthy cause. [/p][p]The London Marathon is one of only two European events that are part of the world marathon majors (the full list being Berlin, Boston, Chicago, New York and Tokyo). Notwithstanding the enormous demand for places (373,736 people applied for the UK ballot for the 2020 race, and 84,125 people applied for the international ballot!), the London Marathon makes available to the LLST six precious marathon places. If you could sponsor me for any amount, no matter how small, the LLST will be enormously assisted and you can spend 2020 with a small glow of virtue. Particularly on 4th October if you tune in and watch us all suffer![/p][p]I am a passionate supporter of the LLST and its aim to ensure that access to justice is not dictated by financial means. This is a huge challenge in light of the severe budget cuts to legal aid in recent years.[/p][p]Thank you for your support.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p]
