My story

[p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2020 London legal sponsored walk. We're taking on 10K for justice on the 8th June.[/p][p]Our team is made up of Catherine Pitre, Kylie Brackenridge, Matt Berry, Anna Thomas, Duygu Yetkincan, Joshua Ingham-Headland & Ross Macdonald (with more to be added to our roster shortly!)[/p][p]We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for the London Legal Support Trust which funds Law Centres and pro bono agencies in and around London.[/p][p]Additionally, 50% of the funds we raise will go towards the Sport Resolutions Legal Advice & Representation Service, which provides individuals and athletes of limited financial means with access to legal advice and representation at no cost. The Service originates and operates as a legacy to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The funds raised will go towards contributing to out-of-pocket expenses incurred by lawyers and barristers who graciously give up their time and expertise for free, to assist those individuals and athletes. [/p][p]Two-thirds of the UK population don’t know how to get legal advice and 14 million people who live in poverty can’t afford to pay for it. The London Legal Walk raises vital funds to ensure access to justice for some of our communities’ most poor and vulnerable people. [/p][p]The event supports over 100 legal advice agencies in London and the South East. We know that these agencies do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly, fighting discrimination and exploitation.[/p][p]We also know how short they are of the funds to continue that work.[/p][p]Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able.[/p][p]Many thanks for your support,[/p][p]Sport Resolutions[/p]
