My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][lt]p class="Standard"[gt][span=font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif;]Race Director Steve Elliott from Yeovil age 55, took part in his final competitive race at Ironman Wales in September 2011 to concentrate on developing new races in the South West. Steve and colleagues Jody Foy and Lucy Ridout from Yeovil based Immortal Sport Ltd now host equally successful races in Salisbury and Stroud.[/span][/p] [lt]p class="Standard"[gt][span=font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif;] [/span][span=font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;]Born in Yeovil Hospital, and educated at Westfield School, Steve suffered a cycle crash in 2013 which resulted in a couple of fractures including a spinal fracture. Subsequent tests proved advanced osteoporosis was present. The advice from specialists was to avoid running whilst undergoing treatment. The treatment and following a strict exercise regime resulted in a return to the bone density expected of a 55yr old male, and the running has commenced.[/span][/p] [lt]p class="Standard"[gt][span=font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif;] [/span][span=font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;]In aid of Yeovil Hospital Charity and School in a Bag, Steve plans to run all 7 previous Yeovil Half Marathons, a mammoth 91.7 miles in 24 hours.[/span][/p] [lt]p class="Standard"[gt][span=font-family: "Calibri",sans-serif;] [/span][/p]
