My story

[p]Myself and several BTCC drivers visited Butterwick House Hospice before our Croft race weekend recently and it had an impact. [/p][p]Butterwick House looks after very poorly childeren and has a fantastic team and facilitys that obviously need constant funding to keep going in an age where funding seems to be drying up. How do you give a bath to a 12 year old who cant walk and is too heavy to lift up the stairs? You dont, unless you can take them to a place like this. They offer terminally ill childeren a place that is built for childeren and isnt a hard edged hospital enviroment. They offer carers of sick childeren a few hours rest while the staff take the strain. [/p][p]I think we all felt a little helpless turning up with a few T-Shirts and posters to offer, what they need is money to keep going. Although my Ironman is only a couple of weeks away I thought if anyone would be kind enough to throw something in the pot it would be much more useful than a signed poster. [/p][p]Many Thanks, [/p][p]Stephen [/p]
