My story

[p]I will be running in several events this year including the ‘Naseby 1645’ and the ‘Milton Keynes Marathon’ on behalf of the ‘Matt Hampson Foundation’ & ‘Alzheimer’s Society’.[/p][p]Being a big Rugby, Leicester Tigers and England RFU fan I have followed Matt for many years.[/p][p]The 'Matt Hampson Foundation' provides advice, support, relief and/or treatment for anyone suffering serious injury or disability which has arisen from any cause, but in particular from participation in or training for any sport. Since his accident in 2005 during an England Under 21 rugby training session, Matt has battled hard to live as normal a life as possible. Paralysed from the neck down he decided to set up the Foundation so that others who have suffered similar catastrophic injuries through sport can receive support and assistance.[/p][p]Matt's strap line 'Get Busy Living' is one that we should all follow.[/p][p]The 'Alzheimer's Society' has close family ties as my fantastic mother in law lost the battle with the cruel condition that is dementia. The society do some amazing work and I am proud to support them.[/p]
