My story

[p]I am completing three different but equally difficult challenges this year for two great charities. My two charities are Southern Spinal Injuries Trust and Make-a-Wish.[/p][p]Southern Spinal Injuries Trust has over the last year helped a friend's Mum who suffered a spinal cord injury which left her paralysed and unable to do some of the things that we take for granted everyday. The Trust works with people coping with the extraordinary tragedy of paralysis to give them the chance to re-experience the fundamental things we all take for granted. This charity has personally aided my friend's Mum when they provided her with a pair of touch assisted, electric wheels which have aided her independence and made getting around much easier. Money raised for The Southern Spinal Injuries Trust will go towards grants for people with paralysis enabling self-reliance and quality of life.[span=font-size: 12.960000038147px; line-height: 15.5520000457764px;] o[/span]n the 1st August, along with a group of friends I will be running the Total Warrior 10K course to raise money for this great cause.[/p][p]My second charity is The Make-a-Wish foundation. This charity does fantastic work in granting magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening diseases. They have helped bring a smile to over 9000 young people since starting up but constantly need more donations to carry on helping those young people struggling day in day out with serious illnesses.[/p][p]What am I doing to deserve your donations to these fantastic charities?[/p][p]Between 4th May and 12th July I will be cycling 1000km in a 10 week period. Having never really cycled before I wanted to try a new challenge and raise money along the way. London's streets don't lend themselves to cycling so this will all be done in the dark basement of my gym![/p][p]On 1st August I will be doing the Total Warrior 10K with a large group of friends in The Lake District to raise money for The Southern Spinal Injuries Trust.[/p][p]On the 27th September I am running the Nottingham Marathon and hoping to raise lots of money in the process.[/p][p]Thanks so much to everyone for donating. [/p]
