Team story

[p]The latest addition to Streatham’s High Parade, wellness hub #StreathamYES (constituted of three businesses Yogarise London, Element Fitness and Baby Spinach) are taking on the challenge to “cycle and ski” the 500 miles to Meribel, Streatham’s twin town in France in aid of Norwood & Brixton Foodbank.[/p][p]Launched in January 2019, the three businesses have established a Yoga-Fitness-Food Hub and will use their high-tech equipment outside their shop front on Sat 14th September at 24-26 The High Parade on Streatham High Street to log the miles it takes to reach Meribel. Everyone is welcome to take part – the more the merrier, no matter how small their contribution – and those who do will be rewarded with their choice of a complimentary yoga session, fitness session or Super Smoothie from Baby Spinach. [/p][p]The teams at #StreathamYES, hopes that with the support of their customers, neighbours, local residents, businesses, colleagues, friends and family, they will not only make it to Meribel but will raise an incredible £500 for Norwood & Brixton Foodbank. An action packed programme of free classes, stretch sessions, warm downs, music and activities for children will also take place on 14th September 2019, starting at 9am and continuing throughout the day. [/p][p]Melissa Harwood, owner of Baby Spinach in #StreathamYES, said, “I am thrilled to be running this day along with my colleagues at Yogarise London and Element Fitness. This is one of the toughest, yet most exhilarating challenges we could think of. Knowing the money we raise will be used to improve the lives of vulnerable residents will get us through the challenge. We’ve had so much local support to date and we’re looking forward to giving something back to the Streatham community."[/p]
