Run in the Sun - Marathon des Sables 2018

[p]The Marathon des Sables is often billed as the toughest footrace on Earth. Taking place in the Saharan Desert, the route covers approx 155 miles across 6 days, including the 'long day': two marathons in one go. I have to be self-sufficient all week, with the exception of water, which is rationed. Temperatures soar into the 40s, and sand becomes the enemy.[/p][p]I've fancied this one for a long time, and on 06 April I will finally fly out to Morocco and take to the start line. Just days after the Royal Air Force turns 100 years old, what better charity to raise funds for than the RAF100 Appeal.
