My story

[p]This year has been challenging for many of us. During this time when many statuary services stepped back, Highland charities and local groups filled in. Voluntary groups across the Highlands provided much need support for our young people at a time when they were isolated. Services like Mikeysline provided mental health support when inevitably some had difficulties.[/p][p]I got back on my bike again in April when the lockdown started and wanted to achieve something. I elected to cycle the North Coast 500, initially, as a personal goal. And then as a way of highlighting the amazing support our communities have received from volunteers. Especially the youth groups who have been tireless in working out new ways to help our kids, teenagers and families.[/p][p]So please support this what will be knackering effort. I will be visiting some of these causes en route and hope to assist more groups as we go. We have been kindly sponsored by Highland Autocampers and Smart Media in this endeavour.[/p][p]We are currently supporting the following Charities and groups via Youth Highland:[/p][p]Mikeysline[/p][p]Thurso Youth Club[/p][p]Ullapool Sea Savers[/p][p]Rokzkool Academy[/p][p]Balintore Residents Group[/p]
