My story

[p]Day 27 - 12 miles walked. [/p][p]The total miles covered by the Team is 4734 so far.[/p][p]Day 25 - 196 miles walked to add to the total miles needed to cover the distance from London to Kathmandu.[/p][p]Day Day 18 - 145.5 Miles walked through Wiltshire fields and North Devon.[/p][p]Day 15 - 105 miles walked so far! [/p][p]?I am walking 200 miles through the month of June to contribute to the Nestling Trust Campaign Goal of 5415 miles (distance from London to Kathmandu) to raise funds for their urgent appeal. [/p][p]Nepal, one of the poorest countries in the world, is facing a humanitarian catastrophe. An explosion in cases of the Indian variant of Covid-19, is spreading throughout the country. Lockdown is adding to the crisis, creating loss of daily earnings resulting in hunger and starvation. [/p][p]The fragile health system is overwhelmed, hospitals in the towns and cities are running out of oxygen and turning desperate people away. It is even worse in rural areas where thousands have to trek hours or days across mountain tracks to reach even basic medical care.[/p][p]The Nestling Trust has established 5 Health Clinic facilities in rural areas of Dolakha, serving an approximate total of 30,000 people. Each one needs support in this current unprecedented situation, to help reduce the spread of the infection, manage local isolation procedures, and provide medical care for the sick. [/p][p]Thanks to generous supporters, during the first wave, we were able to provide some PPE, medical and handwashing equipment, soap, disinfectant and food for those in need. But we now need to do so much more! Numbers are escalating daily and it is affecting younger people. [/p][p]Please help us to fund medical supplies such as oxygen concentrators, masks and tubing, PPE etc. Every penny donated will be used to stop the spread of the virus and to bring relief to those suffering and will help save lives.[/p][p]Virtual Trail - Tower Bridge London to the Swayambhunath Stupa in Kathmandu 5415 miles![/p][p]Day One - 10 of my 200 miles completed through the Wiltshire countryside[/p][p]Day Four - 33 personal miles completed. The Team now has 18 members and happy to say that more keep joining! [/p][p]Day 11 83 Miles just completed.[/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
