Team story

[p][img][/img]On the 10th of May 2018 Gary Mahon, Jo Phenna and Sam Taylor will be setting out on a Border to Border, charity challenge in Switzerland where we will hike, cycle and paddle our way across the country to raise money for St David's Hospice, a charity close to our hearts.[/p][p]In total, we expect it to take 7 days to complete by which point I’m sure we will be ready to collapse into a heap! [/p][p]We will start with a hike from the French border along the Sentier de Rhone route into Geneva, from there we will ditch the hiking boots and take to our bikes for a 420 km cycling route that will take us through the heart of Switzerland to the shores of Lake Constance – one of the largest lakes in central Europe. The final leg of our journey will see us taking to the water to paddle across the lake to the German border! [/p][p]The event consists of multiple disciplines, some of which we are not too familiar with (when was the last time any of us spent any time in a canoe?) so I’m sure it will be a huge test for all of us – we hope that you will agree and think it worthy of a donation.[/p][p] Wish us luck – I think we will need it![/p]
