My story

[lt]h2 style="text-align: center;"[gt][span=color: #ff0000;][lt]h1 style="text-align: center;"[gt][lt]span style="color: #ff0000;"[gt] ... no end to the need! [/span][lt]/h1[gt]Thanks for visiting my 'Lent in a Tent'[lt]/span[gt][lt]/h2[gt][p]Follow on my blog at: [url=http://kingsrev.blogspot.co.uk/]http://kingsrev.blogspot.co.uk/[/url][/p][p][span=color: #ff0000;] [/span][/p][p]I'm raising desperately needed funds for Shining Faces In India orphanage where we encourage our pupils to go and serve for 2 months after leaving King's. 40 cold Lent nights in a tent outside the Chaplaincy at King's Bruton.  Much more news and daily updates on the blog. [/p][p]We've passed our 'guestimate' target, but so much more could be done if there are others who intend yet to give to the lives of the 700 beautiful children at the 'Promised Land' site who rely on us.[/p][p]Immediate needs at the orphanage are in the areas of power, water, food and sleep. Projects this fund will enable are:[/p][p]£3000 'Water': Installation of two commercial capacity reverse osmosis water purification systems for boys' and girls' hostels.[/p][p]£1300 'Power': Extension of underground cabling connection from main generator to boys hostel and dining hall. As Jayaraj, founder of the orphanage writes, 'Boys really suffer lack of electricity during nightly power cuts.'[/p][p]£3000 'Food': Construction of a building to house new steam cooking equipment. Installation of modern steam cooking system and pipework.[/p][p]£5000 'Sleep': 'A cot (bed) is something that kids will enjoy having for themselves. All the kids would have never slept in a cot with a mattress on. This will be a great blessing to them ...', says Jayaraj. 50 beds & mattresses, plus sheets and pillows for 4 small children per bed.[/p][p][span=background-color: #ffffff;] [lt]span style="color: #ff0000;"[gt][b]BUT ... IF WE PUSH ON MUCH FURTHER[/b][/span][span=color: #ff0000;]:[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][p]A new bathroom is also needed near the boys' hostel in line with new Gov't requirements (costings pending). This could be done from current raised funds but then one or more of the important projects above would need to be left undone.[/p][p]Please help however you can. How about trading pounds for nights ... your 40 for my 40?  Or could you give more?[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]I'm so grateful for the huge generosity so far, and for whatever you feel you can do to join them. [/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt]Rev.[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt] [/p]
