My story

[p]2020, a new decade and a new challenge. In 2013, aged 38 Tim had a cardiac arrest which left him 'dead', 70 minutes without oxygen and given no chance of survival. His wife, Jen and son, Kyle, aged 15 at the time, had to try and keep him alive by giving CPR until an ambulance arrived. Friends and family gathered at the hospital to say goodbye to Tim and commiserate with his loving family. However, when the life support machine was turned off, Tim refused to give up. [/p][p]His story from that day to now is an incredible example of how one persons determination, resilience and positivity can overcome the incomprehensible of debilitating physical and mental illness. Unable to walk, talk and see 6 years ago, Tim will be taking on the Lands End to John O Groats tandem cycle ride over 11 days from Monday 27th July to Thurs 6th August 2020. His story is an amazing example of how one can turn such a terrible and unbelievable life event into a positive and inspirational outcome. [/p][p]Local dads Simon Fisher and Ben Whitmarsh will be completing the whole journey as well. A special thank you to George Ward and his dad, John Cooper, Andy Swann for supporting en-route. [/p][p]We would love as many people as possible to join us along the way, to cheer on, cycle and celebrate this incredible achievement.Visit our Instagram, Twitter and Facebook pages- Tandemtastictim [/p][p]RAFFLE- to enter our raffle draw on Sun 26th July, quote 'Raffle' in your donation, £1 per ticket, adding your name and first line of your address.
