[lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt] [/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt][b][span=text-decoration: underline;]Coast to Coast Walk[/span][/b][/p][p][b] [/b][/p][p][b]Going the Extra Mile![/b][/p][p]A TEAM of walkers including Staff, Foster Carers, Looked After Children and Young People from Middlesbrough Council are taking part in an 187 mile, Coast to Coast walk across the North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District.[/p][p]The walk is coordinated by Brian Foulger at Middlesbrough Council’s Family Placement Team, this is a joint initiative with Tees Valley Fostering to raise awareness of the need to recruit new foster carers across the boroughs.[/p][p]This is an 11 day challenge for Brian, Terry and his walking buddies who will be starting at St Bees in Cumbria on 23[sup]rd[/sup] June 2017, they hope to reach their finishing point at Robin Hood’s Bay on 3[sup]rd[/sup] July 2017.[/p][p]During the 11 day challenge staff, foster carers and young people will join the group of walkers to complete a section of the walk.  [/p][p]Mr Fougler said: “It’s no mean undertaking, so we’ve been out training since last October to make sure we can complete the full distance.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to Middlesbrough Foster Carers Association.
