100 Marathons in 100 Days for Jude

[p]Just over 3 years ago our son Jude was born with a rare genetic Mitochondrial disease which has meant he is almost completely disabled and will never walk, talk, see or experience most of the things we all take for granted. Initially the doctors didn’t give us much hope and told us that he may not live to his first birthday. [/p][p]Although there is no cure or treatment, we hope that one day there will be as 1 in every 100 babies are born with a mitochondrial disease. In the mission to raise awareness and support three incredible charities that are united in the fight for hope and who do amazing things to help support vulnerable families like ours, Team Jude are embarking on a charity challenge to complete 100 marathons in 100 days culminating in Judes dad (Dale Simkiss) completing all 26.2 miles of the virtual London on 4 October 2020 carrying the weight of his 3 year old son (16Kg) in a bergan on his back! [/p]
