Team story

[p]2020 has been a year like no other. This will be a sleepout like no other. [/p][p]In recent years, Bill and I have joined the Burton YMCA's annual, one-night sleepout at The Pirelli Stadium. The atmosphere has always been incredible as we have lined up our cardboard boxes next to friends and strangers and shared the experience. [/p][p]This year - Bill's fifth sleepout and my fourth - we'll be pitching a tiny tent in the back garden. We know that there are many many good causes demanding attention at the moment - and that times are hard for so many, many people. That's why the YMCA needs to continue providing food parcels for families in crisis, providing mediation services to try and PREVENT homelessness and then outreach work to help those who are homeless. [/p][p]A long, hard winter lies ahead for many people in Burton and we want to do what we can to help. If you feel able to make a small donation, the YMCA will be very grateful. If you can't, we totally understand and just hope you'll wish us well for our night under the stars.[/p]
