My story

[p]So here we go again![/p][p]Its actually been over a year since I hounded you lot for money so it's about time haha![/p][p]This time I've added two challenges - both big bucket list items for me but been a bit too scared to try them until now! Life is short right???[/p][p]I'm fundraising for The Small but Mighty Fund who support brain tumour research through The Brain Tumour Charity. Every day 29 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour and yet funding for brain tumour research is at only about 2% of the national cancer research spend. The prognosis for those who are diagnosed with brain tumours is low - only about 20% live beyond 5 years. My dad managed 100 days. It's cruel, it's indiscriminate, it destroys lives. #acurecantwait[/p][p][br][/p][p]My other charity this time is Alzheimer Scotland. I work there, I LOVE my job and I truly truly believe in it as a charity with the right ideas and with those who have dementia at the heart of everything it does. Alzheimer Scotland aim to ensure no one faces dementia alone, to end the stigma of a dementia diagnosis and to tackle the loneliness and isolation that often come hand in hand with this disease. Over 90,000 people in Scotland are living with a form of dementia, their families, friends and carers are also living with that too. Alzheimer Scotland funds Dementia Advisors, community activities, technological advances and research. A fantastic cause which I am super proud to be part of.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Please give anything you can xx[/p]
