[p]UPDATE: Due to conflicting events we are having to rearrange our Half Marathon. We will now be taking part in the Eastbourne Half Marathon and NOT Hastings [/p][p][br][/p][p]Today we completed the Eastbourne Half Marathon 😁😁😁[/p][p]We had a brilliant time and can officially announce we finished in a time of 3hrs 05mins. An amazing time for our 1st Half and with very little training too. [/p][p]A huge Thank you to every single Donation. Every penny of that will go towards helping local children get the help and support they need so thank you. [/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p]Update [/p][p]Summer has received her walker funded by Charity For Kids. This walker cost £1500 which is our goal to repay that amount and ensure funds are there for the next child who needs it. Please help us achieve this. 😊🙏😊[/p][p][img][/img][/p][p]3rd March 2019 - Eastbourne Half Marathon[/p][p]Summer and her Dad's 1st Half Marathon!!![/p][p][br][/p][p]This year we will be taking part in the Eastbourne Half Marathon. We will be raising money for Charity For Kids to help support Local sick and Disabled children who, like Summer, fall victim to the NHS crisis and cutbacks. All to often equipment and services that should be provided by the NHS are not available and this is where Charity for kids come in to help and Support the local children of Hastings and Rother. [/p][p]Summer is a 6 year old girl with Spina-Bifida and Hydrocephalus and is a fulltime wheelchair user.[/p][p]Those of you that know us will know that Summer is an extremely confident and outgoing little girl who is determined to live an independent life and to succeed at every challenge thrown her way. Over the years Charity For Kids have helped Summer buy purchasing equipment that the NHS have declined, including her 1st wheelchair. Aged just 20 months old Summer's Consultant at Evelina recommended she have have a wheelchair to help her independence and self esteem. The local wheelchair service declined.[/p][p]Since then we have been on a mission to help ensure no other child has to go without the equipment which is essential to their daily lives.[/p][p]Please help us to raise as much as possible for this worthy cause and remember, every penny if every donation goes to help a child in need.[/p][p][br][/p][p]You can find Out more about Summer and follow our progress through Summer's social media pages:[/p][p]Facebook twitter Instagram[/p][p][br][/p]
