My story

[p]At ERS we love a challenge and this year’s ERS team challenge is turning out to be our biggest so far. In our continued efforts to raise money for the London Air Ambulance and Wales Air Ambulance services. [/p][p]Last year we raised an incredible £5,000 and this year we have set a target of £7,500 we would want to thank everyone who has donated in the past, all donations go a very long way as these charities work solely on public donations.[/p][p]This year’s challenge has 25 of us looking to complete Trekfest the Beacons. to continue our support for the London Air Ambulance and Wales Air Ambulance. On the 6th of July the team will be hiking and in some cases possibly running the 50km “undulating” circular loop in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The route starts at the Brecon show ground and takes us out on the historic Brecon Canal, before we enter the spectacular National Park and the incredible mountain ranges that run through the centre of South Wales and is the infamous training ground of the SAS and there will be times where we will be asking ourselves are we tough enough. luckily we have a good team that will support and encourage each other with every step.[/p][p]The route takes in the highest peak in southern Britain Pen – y –Fan where we will be rewarded with a stunning view of South Wales. This is of course a slightly simplified route, as that sounds like a bit of an afternoon stroll…the rolling terrain provides over 876 meters of uphill and downhill difficulty, and, any way you look at it, 50km is a pretty substantial distance to walk or run in one go. [/p][p]Please be advised that these life saving charities are fully funded by donations and receive no funding from government. Your support no matter how small means a great deal to everyone taking part in the event and at both of our charities.[/p][p]Again we really appreciate any donation you can make and your continued support.[/p][p] [/p]
