Team story

[p]We are a group of West London ladies who will be climbing Kilimanjaro in June 2020. We are removing ourselves from the comfy and rather spoilt lives that we lead and braving the harsh climate and living conditions of Kilimanjaro for 8 days. Completely out of our comfort zone we are stretching our capabilities and fitness levels to limits we have never known, whilst hoping to make a difference and raise a wonderful amount for these amazing charities. [/p][p]We would love for you to follow us on this journey, there will be months of training together, laughter and tears, excitement and fears….and I am sure many blisters![/p][p]Meet the Team: Sophie, Philippa, Malin, Emma C, Emma, Lisa, Magda, Carolyn, Jayne and Amanda. Find out more about each of us why we are undertaking this challenge and join us on our fitness, fundraising and Kili journey at: [/p][p]www.theladykilas.com[/p][p]Instagram @theladykilas[/p][p]Thank you so much for all of your support every penny will make all the difference.[/p][p]Breast Cancer Now. Over 55000 women are diagnosed with Breast cancer each year. It is the most common cancer in the UK. Thankfully more and more people are surviving than ever before thanks to incredible research and care. As women ourselves and women of daughters, charity starts at home as they say.[/p][p]Young Minds This modern world is throwing so many new mental challenges at the children of today. Suicide rates are at an all time high. Young Minds are helping children and teenagers, supporting and empowering them for their future whatever challenges they are facing. [/p][p]Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. Need we say more! We have all witnessed first hand the magic this hospital achieves. Touching the lives of millions of children worldwide with their pioneering research, treatments and operations.[/p][p]Pancreatic Cancer Action has been chosen in our support of Shara Dhillon, a friend and teacher at our school. A truly inspirational and determined woman, Shara is fighting her own battle with Pancreatic Cancer and hoping to run the London Marathon this April.[/p][p]Pancreatic Cancer is a silent cancer, symptoms are vague and unrecognised, we are supporting this charity in the hope of raising awareness to it and its early detection.[/p]
