Team story

[p]You’d probably struggle to find 3 less qualified guys to take part in the Mongol Rally. 10,000 miles of city, desert and rivers, through 20 something countries in the hope of reaching "The Land of Blue Skies", Mongolia.[/p][p]But that's exactly what Chris, Elliot and I plan. Ideally we will reach the finish line in Ulan-Ude without being kidnapped, murdered or arrested. Our quest is made somewhat trickier by our choice of a noble steed... A 20 odd year old Vauxhall Corsa donated kindly by Elliot's sister with a very smart zebra print make over. [/p][p]A list of extras “Racing Stripes” came to us with:[/p][p]-no power steering[/p][p]-no air con[/p][p]-no electric windows[/p][p]-a dent in the front wing[/p][p]-four wheels[/p][p]-one Babyshambles CD[/p][p][br][/p][p]Cystic Fibrosis is a disease close to our hearts and we would like to raise more awareness for it. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can for Cystic Fibrosis and Cool Earth. [/p][p]There are 3 simple rules to this challenge, you can only take a small old car 1.2litre or less, you are completely on your own and you have to raise a minimum of £1000 for charity, at least £500 going to Cool Earth, a charity that works alongside rainforest communities to half deforestation and climate change and then the other £500 going to a charity of our choice, which we have chosen to be Cystic Fibrosis. However whilst a £1000 is a great sum on money we would like to smash this and raise lots of local awareness for both charities.[/p][p]Any donations you can give will be much appreciated to many people around the world.[/p]
