My story

[p]Thank you so much for visiting my page. Having completed the marathon I am now strangely missing my long weekend runs! The training was hard work and a constant juggle with life, but I loved every minute of the day and the crowds and atmosphere were electric! I can't quite believe that I managed to run my way around 26.2 miles, but will never forget it.[/p][p]I have chosen 2 charities for professional and personal reasons, which focus their work in Africa and the UK respectively. [/p][p]Street Child’s life changing projects in Sierra Leone have been witnessed first hand by Boodles and knowing that funds will be channelled directly into supporting children who without help wouldn’t have the opportunity to be educated, has inspired me to raise as much as I can to help get children the same age as my children off the streets and safely into schools. Just £30 will send a child to school for a year. [/p][p]Cardiac Risk in The Young remains a charity forever in our lives. The support they offer to families following the immense emotional impact of a sudden seemingly inexplicable death of a young person cannot be underestimated. Their work to raise awareness and provide screenings and conduct research is something I desperately wanted to support, knowing that families might be spared the life long pain of losing a loved one[/p][p]Any small amount will be so gratefully received by both these charities and of course will help inspire me every step of the way! Thank you xx[/p]
