My story

[p][br][/p][p]Next year marks a bit of a milestone for me as my involvement with Farm Africa spans 30years and so I am going to mark that occasion with a year long challenge That challenge, I felt, had to involve the number 30 so you've guessed it I plan to run 30 marathons and sad as it may seem I'm really looking forward to it!! That's not to say it will be very demanding not only on my my poor knees but time as well but hey who am I to complain the people Farm Africa supports have much more arduous lives trying to pit their farming skills against some of the harshest climates on the planet. So I plan to keep you updated on my progress on this page and hope you will spare a little cash to help me reach my target you can follow the link below. The great thing is Farm really does make a difference to those it reaches and over those 30 years has matured into a charity that is now not only reaching some 1.5 million people every year but is looked upon as being in the forefront of the fight against poverty and dependency on food aid. With your help Africa can feed itself these people are so resourceful once given the chance to prove themselves and often only need basic training and simple resources to kick start a much brighter future [/p][p]UK Aid Match[/p][p]Between 14 October 2017 and 14 January 2018 donations will go to Farm Africa's Growing Futures appeal that will help young farmers living in western Kenya develop sustainable horticulture businesses. Gifts from individuals based in the UK will be doubled by the Government through UK Aid Match, meaning gifts will go twice as far.[/p][p]Thank you so much[/p][p] [/p][p] Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
