My story

[p]On Sunday 28th April 2019 I'm running the London Marathon for Walking With The Wounded.[/p][p]I am 56 years old and a former Royal Marine who had the privilege of serving between 1985 and 1993. I had some amazing experiences whilst serving in the forces, made some fantastic friends and learnt a great deal that has served me well in the years since.[/p][p]I have been fortunate enough to have had a good career, and life, since leaving the Royal Marines and I would now like to help those people who leave the services and may struggle to make their way back into civilian life, to develop their careers and life outside of the services.[/p][p]As a charity, WWTW do an amazing job in helping vulnerable veterans who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service and in assisting them in sustaining their independence through new sustainable careers outside the military.[/p][p]As a 56 year old former Royal Marine, ex rugby player etc, my body is a tad worn out and the hips are more than a little stiff and inflexible! I commit to completing the London Marathon to raise funds for this outstanding charity.[/p][p]So please give as generously as you can. “Every Little Helps” and all sponsorship monies will be carefully used by the charity for the benefit of ex service personnel.[/p]
