My story

[p]In 2014 I ran the London Marathon for the first time. It was an amazing experience and ever since then I have applied to run via the lottery each year with no expectation of getting a place. Well this year the running gods smiled on me and I got lucky! Since this is such an unexpected gift I may as well do it for a worthy cause, and I have chosen Forgotten Feet, a charity very close to my heart as it was set up by my fellow Podiatrists to provide foot care and foot wear to the homeless community. At the end of the Marathon my feet will be aching, but not as much as the homeless who are out on the streets in all weathers, often with poorly fitting, worn out shoes and painful feet as a result of common foot complaints and poor foot hygiene that they are unable to access or afford care for. Please give generously and sign up for regular updates on my progress towards this awesome event! Thank you.[/p]
