Team story

[p]Team mates Toby Wright (Alan Boswell Group) & Kevin Turner (TGA Services (UK) Ltd) are travelling across Europe for the Credo Canary Ball Rally. Teams will start in Norwich, before driving to Arnhem in Holland, Munich in Germany and finally Milan in Italy, all in the aid of their chosen charity, the Community Sports Foundation and their #BuildTheNest campaign.[/p][p]It took all of 5 minutes for Toby and Kev to decide that to do a journey of 2500 miles in 5 days, it would be best to do it in something modern, reliable and comfortable. To that end, Toby and Kev will be completing the journey in Toby's 30 year old car, that has done maybe 300 miles in the last 3 years, reliable and comfortable, it certainly isn't! Will it melt a piston? Will the gearbox break? Will it have any number of electrical failures? Hopefully not. Will it make the journey? Hopefully (it still counts if it's on the back of a recovery truck?).[/p][p]The reason for taking this particular car, is that Toby and Kev feel that a challenge like this, should be just that, a challenge.[/p][p]All of the proceeds from this go to Community Sports Foundation and their #BuildTheNest campaign. In 2018, Community Sports Foundation launched their #BuildTheNest campaign in order to build a multi-purpose community hub in Horsford, on the site of disused sports ground. The initial £1.5m phase of development has already taken place, and in September “The Nest’ was officially opened. Since that date, over 6,000 people have used the site including participants on our Football & Education programme, local grassroots football teams, and members of our disability programme, among many others.[/p][p]The #BuildTheNest campaign aims to raise money for further development on the site and plans for phase 2 will include, classrooms, cafeteria, a full sizes 3G football pitch and changing rooms.[/p][p]Please sponsor, donate, contribute and support us anyway you can as this will most definitely be a challenge. We are offering sponsorship spots on the car (the rally is being documented from start to finish so plenty of opportunities to see your company logo or even a picture of yourself on the car as we make our way across Europe). To sponsor the car and display your company logo, please contact Toby Wright or Kevin Turner to discuss. [/p]
