My story

[p]As you may know, I love helping people. [/p][p]That's what I do in my coaching business, that's what I do for a living. [/p][p]I work predominantly with adults, helping them to squeeze more juice out of this (sometimes) lemon-like life and make some lemonade. But also to find their passion and pursue and not settle for OK so they can have the life they want, because life can then be pretty incredible. So it's really unfair when someone doesn't get the chance to grow up and enjoy all life has to offer. [/p][p]That's why I'm proud to run London Marathon on behalf of Children with Cancer Charity, and fundraising money so they can invest in research, equipment and support for the kids whose lives are affected by the disease. [/p][p]I love running. [/p][p]But training for a marathon is beyond love. [/p][p]You'd have to have Romeo-and-Juliet-like adoration for running to enjoy the process. Running and I are not quite there. [/p][p]Nonetheless, on the 1st of January I said, "Ok baby, let's do this!" put my trainers on and set off for the first training run... easy 30 minutes. [/p][p]It was the first one of 75 runs + the marathon itself. [/p][p]Over the last four months, I've been training hard, running 5 times a week, some runs 5km, some 35km, altogether running 950km which I paid for with sweat, blood and a couple of toenails. [/p][p]I even managed to record a vlog sharing success tips on my 35km run.[/p][p]You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/DFL3aztDMZo[/p][p](But for now keep reading)[/p][p]This year the Virgin London Marathon fundraising collectively reached 1Billion in donations for charities of all kinds which is pretty incredible.[/p][p]It's so great to see that there are so many people who are happy to give to help others as well as the crazy ones who are willing to endure all the training and then run for hours in the race itself. [/p][p]If you'd like to support my fundraising campaign, give someone else better odds of recovering from cancer, and make my training and the marathon worthwhile, I'd really appreciate if donated even just a few pounds. [/p][p]It will feel good, I promise. [/p]
