Team story

[p]After the passing of our Mum, Andrew, as only he can, came up with the concept of "Our Big Year"[/p][p]This involves completing no less than 6 challenges this year. More recently Charlotte (Vicky’s daughter) also has decided to get involved by chopping her very long hair off! The events list looks like this:[/p][p]Charlottes big hair cut - done[/p][p]Great North Swim - done[/p][p]Race to the Kings (ultramarathon - 86km) - done[/p][p]Race to the Stones (ultramarathon - 50km) - done[/p][p]Trearddur Bay Swimming sports Sea Swim - done[/p][p]Sandman Triathlon - done[/p][p]RNLI Portsmouth 10k - done[/p][p]All the events have significance to Mum from before and during her illness, swimming was a hobby she loved, walking with her dogs gave her peace and the swimming sports in a location she called her second home. The triathlon is also in North Wales in one of her favourite spots and the RNLI race is in Portsmouth where she spent a lot of time with Vicky and the family. [/p][p]We are raising money for Cure Leukaemia and The Primrose Hospice who helped support Mum throughout her illness.[/p][p]Thank you for support, we appreciate ever penny.
