My story

[p]I am taking on my biggest running challenge between 26th August and 22nd September 2019. To run from John O'Groats to Lands End over 28 days. The total distance run will be over 1,000 miles and as part of this challenge I will be completing my 10th Great North Run along the way.[/p][p]I am running for Midland Langar Seva Society. This is a charity that help the homeless and those in need around the UK. The charity was established October 2013 in Walsall providing hot food and drink to those living on the street and those on the poverty line. MLSS operates on Sikh based ethos, where we help and support all people from all cultures and backgrounds.[/p][p]Started by 2 brothers from Walsall who I'm extremely proud to know, they have made a difference to the lives of thousands of people. Langar is the term used in the Sikh religion or in Punjab for general or common kitchen / canteen where food is served for free, without prejudice regardless of race, religion, and background. Sewa, quite simply means to serve, to help, to assist, to give up ones time to help others.[/p][p]As a Sikh I'm proud that my biggest challenge is for this amazing charity. More details of the daily routes can be found at the following link:[/p][p]http://www.aldridgerunningclub.co.uk/usingh-bolts-jogle-challenge.html[/p][p]There is also a Facebook Page Usingh Bolt vs JOGLE 2019 that has an event for each day of the challenge where you can show yourself as attending, whether it's too run 1 mile or 1 day with me, everyone is welcome to share some of the journey with me.[/p]
