My story

[p]2 intrepid, maybe overly ambitious people take on a challenge beyond anything they have ever done before. Travelling by bike from VMB Cosham office- The South, all the way to Virgin Media Business Bellshill- The North, visiting Lewisham, Waltham Park, Peterborough, Birmingham, Nottingham, Sheffield, Bradford, Gateshead and finally Bellshill. We are fund raising for CRY and Scope[/p][p] VMB Bottom to Top[/p][p]Covering around 200km per day for 5 days. We shall be publishing our route and live updates around locations for anyone who would like to join us for a mile or 10!!! Come on, we will need all the support and encouragement possible from all our wonderful VM and VMB colleagues as well as all our family and friends.[/p][p]Rider profile:[/p][p]Mark Owen, Senior Regional Manager - Midlands and South West & Wales.[/p][p]Michael Howard, Senior Regional Manager - South[/p][p]Our Charities:[/p][p]CRY: [/p][p]In memory of Mark's wonderful God Son, Reece Jeffrey who unfortunately was taken from us 2 weeks before his 16th birthday. He was doing what he loved - playing football. Undiagnosed heart conditions take many of our young loved ones, and CRY do great work in identifying these issues before the heartbreak and also supporting those unfortunate enough to be affected by such loss. [/p][p]Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. See how your support can help by visiting www.c-r-y.org.uk.[/p][p]SCOPE: [/p][p]From it's humble beginnings in 1952 to today, Scope has always had, at it's heart, the needs of disabled people at it's core. Whether that be through providing help and emotional support whenever people need them or using their collective power to challenge and end injustice. Scope campaign's relentlessly to create a fairer society. For just some of the good things Scope has achieved please visit https://www.scope.org.uk/campaigns[/p]
