My story

[p]Our story[/p][p]Jeremy, Nikki, Camille, Eléa and Clara: Our Fundraising Story[/p][p]Due to Covid-19, the annual Safari Marathon in Kenya is being run across the globe in a virtual race. We are all taking part, with Camille and Jeremy running a Half-marathon, Nikki and Eléa a 10km and Clara doing a 5km. We are running in the wilds of the South Downs National Park at Blackdown near Haslemere in Surrey – a long way from the Lewa Downs, but a tough course nonetheless! [/p][p]The Tusk Trust Projects[/p][p]Tusk promotes sustainable solutions in Africa to preserve, protect endangered species, combat poaching, empower communities and promote education. The impact of the global crisis on these projects and communities is devastating – the collapse of tourism has meant both the anti-poaching and community programmes have come under huge financial pressure. [/p][p]Thank-you!![/p][p]A massive thank-you to everyone who is sponsoring us. If you have not yet, and would like to sponsor us, be reassured that Tusk runs a tight ship meaning there is no wasted money in admin or bureaucracy - your money will make a direct and real difference.[/p][p]For more information on where the money goes, do take a look here:[/p][p]Tusk: www.tusk.org and videos of some of its projects:[/p][p]Ngare Ndare Forest Trust: https://youtu.be/o9Kl8iPaQ-I[/p][p]Mt Kenya Trust: https://youtu.be/ovY5FfG6prY[/p][p]Lewa Wildlife Conservancy – Education Program: https://youtu.be/uAopdDlUvAc[/p][p]We really appreciate your support and, on behalf of Tusk Trust and and the wonderful communities it supports, thank you for any donations you care to make. [/p][p](Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on Tusk Trust's behalf if you make a donation and qualify for gift aid.)[/p][p]Best wishes and thanks from us all,[/p][p]Jeremy, Nikki, Camille, Eléa and Clara[/p][p][br][/p]
