Team story

[p]VOICES FROM THE NHS FRONTLINE[/p][p]Stars of the NHS frontline have become music stars to raise money for the urgent CoVid-19 appeal.[/p][p]CoVid-19 has brought the world to a standstill but by using every flavour of social media, messaging app and video chat, Phil Swan has built a bridge from lockdown isolation to frontline NHS staff to raise voices and funds for an urgent appeal.[/p][p]'Made in Isolation'[/p][p]Musical stars Phil Swan (Mungo Jerry Band 'in the summertime', now technical manager of Portsmouth's Groundlings Theatre) and Barry Upton (Brotherhood of Man 'save all your kisses', co-founder 'Steps', who has written songs for The Nolans, Sonia, Dollar, The Cheeky Girls among many others and co-wrote "You've Got Me Dancing" featured in the movie, Little Miss Sunshine) joined with musical and production talent Mike Fowler (Portsmouth 2008 FA Cup song co-produced with Phil) and experienced singer songwriter and guitarist Sian, to bring together a band, apart, in lockdown.[/p][p]Also working from isolation to make the track a reality were radio star Liam Howes and Designer Geoff Banks.[/p][p]_________________________________[/p][p]Phil created the outline of the track in his home studio and then reached out to music industry friends who added their unique touches.[/p][p]However, it wasn't until the first NHS voice recordings that things became supercharged.[/p][p]Says Phil "it's like a snowball rolling down a hill, it's got bigger and bigger, faster and faster"[/p][p]"word spread from one person to two, to a group of nurses, then ambulance drivers, porters and doctors and it continues"[/p][p]"we realise they are super busy working around the clock, across the country treating wave after wave of people suffering from symptoms of the virus. We do not want to get in their way but they have been able to record during breaks, at the end of shifts, in cars and from home to create stunning vocals and beautiful harmonies. They've been ingenious!"[/p][p]Through a flurry of flat batteries, chargers, hand sanitizer, alcohol wiped tablets, phones and laptops the song has grown organically and began taking on a unique character of its own.[/p][p]"As each vocal is added, the sound becomes fuller and richer, it lifts my heart, it's such an honour to be able to work with all these amazing people"[/p][p]As Phil says "The song perfectly embodies what the NHS staff are doing. Our society has pain and we are leaning on them now more than ever. When we called, they were there, being our friend and helping us to carry on."[/p][p]"To every single person on the NHS frontline we say thank you, keep safe, we love you"[/p][p]__________[/p][p]The Voices Of The NHS Frontline[/p][p][br][/p][p]~NHS~[/p][p]Paul Alland - Community Physiotherapy Technician[/p][p]Rheanne Marie Argyle - Trainee Nursing Associate[/p][p]Professor Pradeep Bhandari[/p][p]Emma Barrington - Staff Nurse NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)[/p][p]Anna Benton - Advanced Endoscopy Nurse Practitioner[/p][p]Vikki Bowyer - Mental Health Support Worker[/p][p]Koralie Kay Bird - Matron for Gastroenterology Services[/p][p]Lisa Childs - Endoscopy Sister, Practice Educator[/p][p]Jenna Cook - Endoscopy Technician[/p][p]Jade Daughtrey - Healthcare Support Worker[/p][p]Carly Davey - Stroke Support Manager Stroke Association[/p][p]Marie Dimmick - Patient Service Assistant[/p][p]Cath Drews - Lymphoedema Specialist Nurse[/p][p]Rebecca Duke - Endoscopy Technician[/p][p]Anthony Evans[/p][p]Teriann 'Noah' Evans - Registered Nurse (Respiratory), COVID-19 Research[/p][p]Robyn Fielder[/p][p]Kayleigh Findlay - Stroke Nurse Specialist [/p][p]Jackie George - Endoscopy Technician[/p][p]Eirwen Griffiths - Healthcare Support Worker in Heart Failure Services - Cardiology[/p][p]Donna Haselip - Endoscopy Sister [/p][p]Dr Ejaz Hossain - Gastroenterology[/p][p]Carly Howes - Endoscopy Healthcare support worker/Student nurse[/p][p]Aileen Ibasco - Endoscopy Staff Nurse[/p][p]Santhia Illingsworth - Endoscopy Administration and data manager[/p][p]Lauren Isted - Paediatric Healthcare Assistant[/p][p]Debbie James - Healthcare Support Worker[/p][p]Carl Jane[/p][p]Su Jeffreys - Critical Care Nurse[/p][p]Olivia Jenner[/p][p]Annly jithin - Registered Nurse [/p][p]Hannah Kelleher - Healthcare Support Worker[/p][p]Kim Kelly[/p][p]Rosie Kelly[/p][p]Sarah Kerens - Endoscopy Associate Practitioner[/p][p]Ally Laus - Havant Community Nurse[/p][p]Angela Le Santo - Endoscopy Staff Nurse[/p][p]Debby Lewis - Stroke Association Support Coordinator - Stroke Recovery Service[/p][p]Stacey Lou[/p][p]Sarah Louise[/p][p]Heidi Miller[/p][p]Sarah Moutter - Diabetes Specialist Nurse - Portsmouth Diabetes Team[/p][p]Brodie Murtagh - Nursing Associate[/p][p]Niamh Erin O'Brien- Maxillofacial Nurse[/p][p]Annie Oldd - Decontamination Technician at QA Hospital[/p][p]Katy Pamela[/p][p]Kirsty Payne - Healthcare Support Worker[/p][p]Gemma Louise Pickles - Mental Health Healthcare Support Worker[/p][p]Kirsty Puddick - Advanced Endoscopy Practitioner[/p][p]Stephanie Rae - AMU staff nurse[/p][p]Liz Rix - Chief Nurse[/p][p]Janet Ruze - Endoscopy staff nurse[/p][p]Antonio Salviato - Nurse Endoscopist[/p][p]Trish Saunders - Endoscopy Staff Nurse[/p][p]Karen Scott[/p][p]Hayley Stevens[/p][p]Megan sword - Healthcare Support Worker[/p][p]Dr Thursby-Pelham - Consultant Gastroenterologist[/p][p]Vicki Thwaites[/p][p]Natalie Tolfree - Endoscopy Unit Manager, Senior Sister[/p][p]Lauren Jayne Tolfrey - Maternity Support Worker[/p][p]Roselle Tomas - Endoscopy Sister[/p][p]Tina Vincent - Band 4 Student Nurse - Intensive Care Unit[/p][p]Emily Ward - Emergency Department Nurse[/p][p]Tasmin Ward - Endoscopy Sister[/p][p]Fionna Webb - Housekeeper[/p][p]Kerry Weston - Staff Nurse[/p][p]Laura Whittenham - Renal Dialysis Staff Nurse[/p][p]Susanne Woods - Decontamination Endoscopy[/p][p]Mia Laus Yarrow[/p][p]Rita Zaffarese - Palliative Care Rowans Hospice[/p][p]District Nurses Petersfield[/p][p]District Nurses Havant[/p][p]Endoscopy Ward, QA Hospital Portsmouth[/p][p]Ferns Medical Practice, Farnham, Surrey[/p][p]Bedford Hospital, Elizabeth Ward[/p][p]___[/p][p]Phil Swan - Producer, Lead Vocal[/p][p]Barry Upton - Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals[/p][p]Mike Fowler - Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals[/p][p]Sian Curry - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals[/p][p]Amy Harrison - Backing Vocals [/p][p]Geoff Banks - Backing Vocals, Design[/p][p]Liam Howes - Videography[/p][p]___[/p][p]Thanks to[/p][p]Nikki Sykes[/p][p]Josh Brown[/p][p]Courtney Swan[/p][p]The Swarbrick Children[/p][p][br][/p]
