My story

[p]I set myself a challenge every decade and this year is one of those challenge years! So far these have been my challenges:[/p][p] Didn’t have one at 1st decade, too busy being a child to think about such things;[/p][p]2nd decade: (unintentional and ongoing challenge :-)) got married;[/p][p] 3rd decade: learnt to ride a motorbike and pass test;[/p][p] 4th decade: started running and entered Snowdon race (just under 2 ¼ hrs - 5 miles up, 5 miles down!);[/p][p] 5th decade: ran London marathon (just under 4 ¾ hrs);[/p][p] 6th decade: cycled Land’s End to John O’Groats;[/p][p] 7th decade (this year): to walk a marathon distance every day for a month (1-30 June).[/p][p] See how we go!! [/p][p](Possible🤔) Contingency plan for my June challenge if we still have to self-isolate and only exercise short distances outside the home: I will walk around my garden to do the marathon distance (26.2 miles) every day. To this end I have just measured the perimeter of my garden and worked out how many times I would have to walk around it. Answer: 187 times😧![/p][p]Pros:[/p][p]1. No chance of getting lost!![/p][p]2. Don’t have to carry a pack - because:[/p][p]3. Food and drink on demand[/p][p]4. Toilet breaks no problem![/p][p]5. Can sleep in my own bed every night[/p][p]6. Can talk to my husband anytime (if he’s outside)[/p][p]Cons:[/p][p]1. Boring[/p][p]2. My husband can talk to me anytime😂[/p][p]I have a FB page: Walk Like a North Walian (if you want to keep updated on how I'm doing)[/p]

Amazing feat (or should I say feet!) Linda. Didn't think you'd be able to compete it but knowing how determined and stubborn you are I should have realised you would. Donation as promised- I have also included Derek's donation as mentioned yesterday.
