My story

[p]I am raising money in memory of my baby daughter, Matilda, who died during an emergency c-section in April 2010. Matilda was an IVF baby and despite four more rounds of IVF and two eight week miscarriages, we have not been able to have any more children. We have now stopped trying. [/p][p]I'm raising money for the charity Tommy's which conducts research into miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal death, and develops techniques that can and do save babies lives. Losing a child is a life changing, life destroying event, I would give absolutely anything to have her with me again. The closest I can come to that is helping charities like Tommy's to prevent it happening to other people. [/p][p][/p][p]i am not a natural runner. i lumber, i shuffle, I stagger and sway, but I'm trying (and often crying). A half marathon is a real challenge to someone like me and your donations will make all the difference![/p][p][/p][p]I had to pull out of last year's Great North Run due to injury, I have carried my donations over, so if you donated last year, THANK YOU!  [/p]
