[p][b]KAB based in Maidstone Town Centre have been Supporting sight impaired people to live independent lives since 1920. [/b][/p][p]2020 marks a very special year for Kent Association for the Blind, as we celebrate our centenary year.[/p][p]We believe that anyone who has a sight impairment should be able to live a fulfilled and independent life. We help make this a reality by providing comprehensive and personalised [url=https://www.kab.org.uk/get-support/services/rehabilitation/]support services[/url] to people of any age and whenever they need our help. We also believe in the importance of the [url=https://www.kab.org.uk/get-support/help-advice/preventing-sight-loss/]prevention[/url] of avoidable sight loss and work hard to promote the understanding of [url=https://www.kab.org.uk/get-support/help-advice/preventing-sight-loss/]good eye health[/url].[/p][p]We work with over 12,500 people in Kent and the surrounding areas making us one of the largest and most respected local [url=https://www.kab.org.uk/who-we-are/]sight loss charities[/url] in the UK.[/p][p][b]Changes as a result of the Covid-19 crisis[/b][/p][p]Unfortunately most of our fundraising events have had to be postponed.
