My story

[p]Fresh from conquering the 4,550m summit of Ras Dashen in 2019, quadruple amputee Alex Lewis, project founder David Collinson and the rest of the Wild Wheelchairs team will be undertaking their next expedition in 2022 - The Gobi 500! Alex will aim to handcycle over 500km through the Gobi Desert and the Mongolian plains over 10 days in July 2022. This incredible adventure will only be be made possible through the University of Southampton students and staff building an all new, solar powered, desert ready handcycle capable of being powered, driven and steered by Alex. We are raising money for the Murray Parish Trust, which is dedicated to improving the emergency treatment of children suffering from trauma, illness and injury across the South of England[/p]
