2019 Dixons Carphone Race to the Stones 100km

[p]Last year I lost my role model. My Dad died from Cancer after a long fight in September 2018. [/p][p]He inspired me daily with his sheer will to succeed, determination and physical ability. After being Paralysed very early on in his life during active service with British Forces, he was confined to a wheelchair. This did not stop him! He went on to become a Paralympic Gold medalist and World Record holder in swimming, He then went onto being the first wheelchair athlete to complete the London Marathon in 1982. [/p][p]When I was born he was doing marathons every year all around the world, I was 7 when he pushed his wheelchair from Paris to Santiago de Compostela crossing the Pyrenees, which has stuck with me to to this day. [/p][p]I could go on naming his achievements but it would take all day, the man was unstoppable. To that end I am hoping to raise £500 for Cancer Research and tip my hat to my Dad by completing this endurance event. Thank you in advance. Will.[/p]
