Team story

[p]I participated in the Windsor Women's 10K last year, which happened to coincide with the first visit to the UK by the founder of the Tabitha Foundation and co-founder of Nokor Tep Hospital, Janne Ritskes. [/p][p]Janne has devoted the past 25 years to raising the poorest of the rural population of Cambodia out of poverty through savings and house-building programmes. Following her own treatment for breast cancer about 10 years ago, Janne determined to build a hospital for women in Phnom Penh. This year the hospital has finally opened its doors to the women of Cambodia, who would otherwise have no access to medical treatment.[/p][p]So it seemed appropriate that this year I should run this event to raise funds for the Nokor Tep Hospital. Nokor Tep is Khmer for 'place of angels' and for these women suffering from cancer and gynaecological issues, the medical staff there must truly seem to be angels.[/p][p]Please join me in running for the Women of Cambodia in this Women's 10K, or if that is not possible, then please consider donating to this cause.[/p]
