My story

[p]To receive your ultra-stickers, please ensure to email your name and address to info@worcestercityfcst.com after donating, otherwise we cannot send them. Thank you.[/p][p]Worcester City FC are pleased to announce the launch of its #StickingTogether initiative. Quite simply, we are asking fans and all connected with the club to make a donation of £5 or more to the Worcester Foodbank and we will post out a set of five Worcester City FC ‘ultra stickers’ for free in return. [/p][p]To take part, simply make a donation of £5 or more here, and email your postal address and name to info@worcestercityfcst.com and we'll post the stickers out to you. If you would like to receive an ultra stickers set for your donation, please make sure to use your name when donating so we can cross check who has donated.[/p][p]These are trying times for many families and individuals. A second national lockdown brings a great deal of uncertainty for many in Worcester, with many facing reduced incomes and worse, losing their jobs. Foodbanks play a vital role in society in helping many families and individuals keep their heads above water. [/p][p]Football has a unique power to bring people together and a responsibility to contribute, as Worcester’s football club since 1902, we are asking those fans that can to join us in showing solidarity by ‘sticking together’ through this second lockdown by taking part.[/p][p]onations will go directly to the Foodbank, whilst the football club covers the cost of postage and production of stickers.[/p][p]On behalf of the football club, the supporters’ trust will kick things off with a £100 donation to the Foodbank.[/p][p]Ruth Alsopp, the Foodbank's Operations Coordinator shared ''We'd like to say a huge thank you to Worcester City FC for supporting us this year. Their fundraising will help us to increase awareness and to raise the money needed to support our clients over the Christmas period. Despite this being a very difficult time for so many, it is overwhelming how organisations like Worcester City FC have chosen to put their energy into fundraising for us, so that we can help those in crisis. Without this commitment we would not be able to support our community, so thank you again.' [/p][p]On the launch of #StickingTogether, Director Luke Cox said ‘Given the lockdown, we wanted to find a way to for the Worcester City family to safely get behind a local cause from home. We know how much the supporters care about being a part of the city and doing our bit. This felt a fitting way to show solidarity with Worcester through such an important cause during a very difficult period.’[/p][p]This initiative builds on the work by the football club to support the Foodbank from earlier this year. Back in May, Club Chairman Steve Goode rallied Worcester citizens to take part in weekly food collections.[/p]
