My story

[p]Over the last month the rugby public have acknowledged the courage shown by both Doddie Weir and Tom Smith in the face of massive adversity. The strong bonds forged on the pitch never fade, so in support of these Wounded Lions, a core group of cyclists including FPs Rob Wainwright, John Hall and Paddy Johns, will again carry a match ball up from Twickenham to Murrayfield, aiming to cover the 500 miles in 48 hrs in time for the Calcutta Cup KO.[/p][p]Support from cyclists along the route would be most welcome. We do reiterate that participation will be at your own risk. This is an unsupported event, and the Pirate Code will apply after the first 50 miles as we will be on a tight schedule. We will be donating £1 per mile cycled, and would only ask those that join us to do the same. 100% of moneys raised will be split 50/50 between My Name5 Doddie Foundation for MND research, and Tom's charity of choice.[/p][p]Alternatively, if you cannot join us, beat us: why not set up your own Wounded Lions challenge, be it 100 miles on Zwift or delivering the match ball to your local rugby club. The only limit is your imagination.[/p][p]We are incredibly grateful for the donations and support we have received thus far, and hope to reach our £100k target for MND and cancer research. [/p][p]Many thanks, Rob[/p][p][br][/p]
