Running The Virgin London Marathon 2018

[p]Not long now until I attempt to run The 2018 London Marathon[/p][p]I will be running for two small charities, Harrison’s Fund and Piggles Trust. [/p][p]Harrison’s Fund is a charity dedicated to finding a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Our very close friends have a 6 year old nephew who suffers with DMD. His muscles are deteriorating and by the time he is a teenager he will lose the ability to walk and will eventually lose all muscle function in his body. It is a life-limiting disease.[/p][p]Piggles Trust was started in 2017 by my friend Caroline and her husband Edward. [/p][p]Their little girl, Harriet, was born with a congenital heart defect and spent many months in hospital. Harriet sadly passed away from a bacterial infection at the age of 4. [/p][p]Piggles Trust was set up to provide pre-school education to patients and their siblings while in hospital. They want to create a team of Nursery Nurses within all children’s hospitals providing vital educational provisions which are currently so lacking.
