You may also know that for too many years I lived a rather dark existence. One that I have put firmly behind me forever.[/p][p] [/p][p]My wake up call to make a change came at my Father’s hearse; like my grandfather before him, he died far too young at aged 58. This was the darkest point in my life and the spur to change make a well overdue change.[/p][p]After the funeral my doctor realised all my fears when he suggested that my extreme size would cause me to be diabetic by Christmas 2011 unless a heart attack or a stroke got me first. At my size I was warned that an attack would have serious consequences. Quite literally my life became a battle for survival[/p][p]Subsequently what amazed, humbled and inspired me beyond anything I could have ever imagined is how my journey caught the public’s imagination.[/p][p]I have been on TV, radio and in magazines and newspapers and was a featured runner by the BBC during the race. We also raised 1,000s of pounds for children with Cancer uk. What an incredible experience and quite overwhelming. Aside from the obvious sense of personal achievement which I have rightly shared with my friends and family I have been touched by the stories from people who want to rediscover the joy and freedom which a healthy and fit lifestyle brings.[/p][p]This is why I have decided to share my story and those of many others who made the decision like I did that enough is enough and help as many people as I can on my website www.adysjourney.com[/p][p]Children with cancer gave me a second chance in life and so I continue my passion to raise much needed funds for this charity and continue to suprise many people and myself on my challenges in which I continue to dedicate myself doing and now I am training for my fourth Half marathon and Now more than anything I am training for my fourth Virgin London Marathon and on the 24 April 2016 I will be taking to the streets of London to relive yet again the pain, the sweat and the emotional tears of getting through the finish line on the Mall this will be directly one week after trying to complete the Brighton Marathon yes thats right 2 MARATHONS IN ONE WEEK!![/p][p]I will be training hard to complete these two events as well as preparing to jump out of a plane for a tandem skydive, I will be hosting my second Black Tie and Posh Frocks Charity Ball on the 11th October 2016 before making yet again one of the worlds biggest Half marathons for the fourth year running! so keep supporting me and I will keep doing what ever I can to help these young children with the fight against Cancer, we all deserve a life and our children deserve to enjoy life!![/p][p]Please watch all the videos and understand my Journey[/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt] [lt]object width="450" height="415" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/K1VC41pij2o&feature" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"[gt][lt]param name="data" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/K1VC41pij2o&feature" /[gt][lt]param name="quality" value="high" /[gt][lt]param name="wmode" value="transparent" /[gt][lt]param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/K1VC41pij2o&feature" /[gt][lt]/object[gt][/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt] [/p][lt]p style="text-align: left;"[gt] [/p][p] [lt]object width="425" height="350" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/eHjOmq0sSnw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"[gt][lt]param name="quality" value="high" /[gt][lt]param name="wmode" value="transparent" /[gt][lt]param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eHjOmq0sSnw" /[gt][lt]/object[gt][/p][p] [/p]
