Team story

[p]The challenge[/p][p]www.antarcticenterprise.com[/p][p]In 2015 Team Enterprise trekked to the Geographic North Pole. This time their objective is the Geographic South Pole, becoming among the very few to have skied to both top and bottom of the planet. The expedition begins in December 2017, setting out for Antarctica from Punta Arenas, the bottom tip of Chile. Hauling their equipment and supplies the team plan to reach the South Pole just before Christmas.[/p][p]While North and South Poles share the hostility of extreme cold and unpredictable weather, the terrain and challenges are different. The team have made it across the frozen sea of the Arctic Ocean; this expedition will take them close to 10,000 ft above sea level, dragging sledges across rock solid sastrugi with the constant threat of high winds.[/p][p]The team[/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt]Justin Packshaw, Simon Turner, David Cooke, [/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt]Hugh Robertson, Lopo Champalimaud, Klaus Nyengaard,[/p][lt]p style="text-align: center;"[gt]Pascal Noth,  Ed Boyce, Justin Abbott[/p][p]The Prince's Trust[/p][p]For the young people that we work with, The Prince’s Trust is often the last resort. When young people first come to us their confidence is usually at rock bottom. They may have struggled at school, been in care, been long-term unemployed or in trouble with the law. Often they think that their future is already mapped out with little or no prospect of personal or professional success.[/p][p]We believe that every young person should have the chance to succeed. The Prince’s Trust runs nine different programmes aimed at young people aged from 11-30 to help them to identify their strengths, take responsibility for themselves and work towards a career and future they can be proud of.[/p][p]The Roundhouse Trust[/p][p]The Roundhouse is a charity and relies on donations from generous individuals, trusts and companies to raise the annual £2.8 million needed to support our work with young people.[/p][p]By supporting the Roundhouse, you help us to carry on pushing the development of a truly unique and bold programme, challenging artistic boundaries and providing invaluable opportunities for the next generation of artists.[/p][p]Thank you![/p][p]Thank you for visiting our page. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. [/p][p]We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
