Team story

Well this is the first time that our team of mature level headed individuals(???) have embarked on this epic challenge!!!!! What is this epic challenge? It’s a 100km non- stop overnight trek across the beautiful South Downs. Though we’re not so sure how beautiful they will look after almost 30 hours of continuous walking!!!

Our team consists of Sue, Liz, Wayne and Wal. We couldn’t attempt this challenge without our wonderful support crew John and Julie who will be there to give us much needed support and encouragement together with a ready supply of blister plasters at every check point on route. They will aim to keep us focused and motivated even when the going gets tough – hope they’re there after 1k then!!!!!

Training has already started with a vengeance. We will keep you updated with our progress, photos, blogs and blisters as we head towards the big day. Thank you to everyone that has already given their support not only with words of encouragement and sponsorship but also in offering to accompany us on some of our training sessions.

Trailwalker UK raises around £1million every year to help people in poverty to build a better life. The money teams generate from the challenge is split between the work of Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust:

We are aiming to raise £2000 for this wonderful cause.

"Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this".

A special thank you to all those who sponsored Sue in the recent Southport 10K Mad Dog run which helped raise £84 towards our fundraising.

Thank you for visiting our page your support and donations are greatly appreciated!

Sue, Liz, Wayne & Wal

x
