As you can imagine it came as a shock to us all - no one expects or wants anyone to be diagnosed with cancer, especially a loved one. [/p][p]After receiving treatment for only a couple months, a routine blood-test sadly highlighted an abnormality. Dad was immediately admitted to Exeter RD&E where he underwent a week of treatment. Unfortunately they were unable to control the spread of the damage being caused and a decision was made to transfer him to the UK Specialist Liver Unit at Kings College Hospital, London. Following a further three weeks of treatment and round the clock care, our dad didn't make it and sadly passed away on 1st September 2018. [/p][p]Our Dad is our hero, he always has been, and always will be! Now we want to do our bit for ELF and Howard Ward at Kings College Hospital, London.
