Team story

[p]Hello friends, family, colleagues, kind strangers and the like. [/p][p]"Quick, sign up before I change my mind" were the words uttered by my father when I first mentioned us taking part in the London Triathlon. And so it was, we signed up and have agreed to take on this epic challenge much to the surprise of the people who know us well! [/p][p]On Saturday 2nd August, we'll be swimming, biking and running in and around the London docklands to raise money for United Response, the charity that I work for. [/p][p]I haven't regularly swam since my swimming lesssons in the late 90's (thanks Granny) and Stuart is 50. Enough said![/p][p]United Response is a national charity which supports disabled people and people with mental health needs to live in the community, as independently as possible. They provide anything from 24 hour a day care to people with the most profound disabilities to a few hours of support a week to help people manage their money, go to college or to get a job. [/p][p]Working here, I know what a difference the money we raise makes and feel privileged to work for a charity who values everyone as equals and campaigns tirelessly to make life better for those who sometimes struggle.[/p][p]Please dig deep and donate what you can to give us the encouragement we need to swim in the docklands (eww), ride like the wind and finally run without hobbling or collapsing in a heap to the finish line. [/p][p]We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
