[p]Rally for Heroes (RFH) has raised over £500,000 for SSAFA by organising charity driving events across the UK and mainland Europe. 100% of proceeds go to SSAFA and drivers pay their own costs at events.[/p][p]Our signature event is the biennial Rally for Heroes European road trip, the next one launching from [b][u]Horse Guards Parade[/u][/b] ground in London in August 2018 funded personally by the drivers.[/p][p]50 cars will be covering 10 countries in 10 Days and aiming to raise £100,000.[/p][p]Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Families Association (SSAFA) provides lifelong support for anyone with more than a day service in the armed forces.[/p][p]The original charity expanded to become SSAFA after the establishment of the RAF in 1918. In 1885 it’s original founder Major James Gildea said: [/p][p][i]“No greater responsibility rests on men and women that the care of the wives and families of their soldiers and sailors.”[/i][/p]
