[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Having completed the Middlesbrough 10k in September 2019, the Great North Run in October 2019 with a bunch of my amazing family and friends I was on the last leg of my ‘ Running for Russ’ journey and was ready to run the London Marathon on 26th April on my own and the day before Russ 43rd birthday, until the COVID Pandemic hit. I am now running the 2020 marathon along with many other runners who had a place, virtually, on 4 October by completing the 26.2 miles on a planned route in my home area. [/p][p]My husband Russ tragically died by suicide in May 2018. We had been together for 22 years and married for 14 and had three beautiful young daughters. In Russ memory I set up the Russ Devereux Headlight Project which aims to teach children about mental health and to build emotional resilience and to support both children and adults with any mental health issues by providing group workshops and one to one counselling. We also provide support to families in the Tees Valley area who have been affected by suicide. With the help and support of the Middlesbrough and Teeside Philanthropic Foundation (which gives to a wide range of deserving local causes) I have been able to make the Headlight Project a reality. [/p][p]With Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities.
Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations. Thank you to my wonderful family and friends who have been with me throughout this journey. I love you all. 🧡 🏃?♀?🧡[/p]
